Learning objective      : By the end of the lesson, pupilsnshould be able to
1.      Talk about the characters of the stories.
2.      Read and respond to the stories.
Learning Outcome      : 1.7 Listen to and enjoy stories and fables and other tales of  imagination and fantacy and predict outcomes, and draw conclusion at a level suited to pupils level.
2.7  Talk about the people. Places and moral value of the stories heard, read and viewed in simple language.
3.6  Acquire a wide range of vocabulary.
4.2  Complete texts with the missing word, phrases or sentences.

Teacher shows a story book and asks pupils some questions.

2.      Who are the characters in the story?
3.      What is the story about?

Presentation
40+minutes
1.      Ask pupils to look at the picture on page 32 about an old farmer telling his sons to look for the hidden treasures. Get the pupils to describe what they can see in each of the picture.
2.      Go through the story. Pupils answer the comprehension questions on page 32. Discuss the answers with the pupils. Draw their attention to question 4 and 5. Get them to give their reasons and opinions.
3.      Pupils fill in the blanks.
4.      Ask three pupils to come up to the front. Arrange them according to their height. Introduce the pupils by using these sentences structures.
Chong Wei is tall.
Qi Yao is taller.
Zhen Siang is the tallest.
5.      Divide the board into three column and write the words in the respective column.

1.      Pupils complete a task given by the teacher in group. Pupils discuss in groups and read out the answer together. Get them to do corrections after discussion.
